"I do not paint, I write ...."

The cultural association " The Black Triangle "devotes the opening show of the 2009-2010 season to the poet, essayist, translator, art critic and, in this case, Roberto Sienese artist.

To him, Anglicist of the most important on the international scene, it must be a more in-depth knowledge in Italy by authors such as Dylan Thomas, TS Eliot, among his contemporaries and H. Crane Blake, Milton, Shelley and Yeats among the great classics of English poetry. Also in Sanesi must be important monographs dedicated to artists such as Moore, Sutherland, Richter and Scanavino to name a few.

His many interests have led him to practice teaching, theater, music and painting. It is on this his passion is not the marginal focus the choice of painted paper, a true extension of his poetic vein, which are visible on the walls of the "Black Triangle". Sheets are characterized by gentle and elegant happy union of text, usually fragments of poems, and color, usually black ink bright colors and ringing, which coalesce into intense scores that evoke very deep emotions. Sienese master was really in this business that goes far beyond the usual definition of "visual poetry" because, in these works, it is perceived wisdom and pictorial composition truly masterful.

A small section of the exhibition is also dedicated to some wonderful etchings, most of them born in the studio of one of the greatest graphics printers Italian, Giorgio Upiglio.
